Ordering from Bluebird Greenhouse

Gift Certificates Gift certificates are available for any purchase at Bluebird Greenhouse in any amount. We will gladly forward it directly to the recipient with a note. Included will be directions where to find us in Apex or where to find us on the web. Our gift certificates can be used any time and are great for gift giving, especially if you have gardener friends or relatives that are hard to buy for.

Please indicate the amount of the gift certificate on the gift certificate order page, and place the recipient's name and address in the shipping section of the on-line order form, and place your own in the billing section. If you need multiple gift certificates to more than one shipping address you can either fill out multiple online order forms or call us. The limitations of our shopping cart only allows for one shipping address at a time. There is NO shipping charge for each gift certificate ordered!!!!! (The gift card, note and postage are on us!)

Security Place your orders with Bluebird Greenhouse on-line without worry. Our shopping cart uses a secure server. Your credit card information is transferred using encryption and cannot be read by anyone except us. Your credit card information is never stored anywhere in unencrypted form. All credit card numbers remain encrypted until it is processed by us.

Paying for Your Order We accept personal checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, Paypal and even that old fashioned payment system from last century - cash! Make checks payable to: Bluebird Greenhouse and if the weather is right (usually after April 1 until the Fall) we'll have your order on its' way. We keep a very close watch on the weather all along the route from Bluebird to your house. We won't ship until temperatures along the whole route will be above 50 degrees.

Packaging Our standard and Space Baby violets are in 4 inch pots. The miniature varieties are in 2 1/2 inch pots. When we ship we place the pots in a plastic baggie to help retain moisture which is tied at the top to prevent loss of the potting soil. The whole plant is then wrapped in a roll of newspaper to stop it from moving around in the box. This helps keep leaf breakage to a minimum. Leaf shipments have their stems wrapped in wet paper towels and then are put into a plastic baggie. We go through a lot of steps to insure your plants arrive at your doorstep in good shape. We prefer to use USPS shipping of plant material since they seem to do the best job.

Postage When you check out using the shopping cart, postage is automatically calculated by a United States Postal Service (USPS) server . We have no additional "handling" charges. The USPS server rate calculations are based on the package size and your zip code. This USPS shipping charge is visible at the bottom of the order before you provide credit card information to place the order.
